Faith, The Course for Survival

Faith is the precursor for much in life. Helm’s men set courses for ships all the time expecting to arrive at their destinations everyday. Even so, do we not set courses in our own lives to achieve our goals, our desires? Now, what if our goals acquiesced to living through the coming judgments of God?

First, we’d have to believe that it was truly God judging us. Else, we’d have little hope of preparing adequately for the coming trials. Second, we might want to find out the “how”, “what”, “why”, “who”, and “when” of God’s outlined plans. Good against AIs is one thing. Good against an exceptionally intelligent “omnipotent living being” is quite another.

We came to Earth to see if we’d choose God’s way over our own. Choosing to be teachable, obedient, and grateful opens up a great number of blessings that selfishness hides from us. Being caught in our own self deceptions limits our ability to hear, see, and feel the true reality before us. As we prepare for the sorting of souls that is coming; We need to know God loves us and isn’t eager to condemn us save we set our own course and choose to be condemned without Him.

The true power in preparing to survive the coming trials is coming to know God. Following His promptings in gratitude. Knowing that the Earth is a proving ground and we are here for Him to help in redeeming our spiritual siblings. Being found in service to others, as God directs daily, is how we’ll be able to manage the coming calamity. If we are doing what we can to teach by His spirit and work for our bothers' and sisters' spiritual betterment we earn the joy we'll need to face the coming challenges.

To believe we’ll pass through this judgment unscathed is naive at best. We may be asked to die for our testimony of our Heavenly Father and His Christ. We’ll surely be asked to accept and feed the poor in body and spirit. We’ll need to prove industrious as we prepare for more than ourselves. We must become obedient, worthy, and comfortable wielding the priesthood of God. To gain a fullness of joy requires using the gift of the Holy Ghost as a constant companion.

The Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord is soon upon us. Are we going to stockpile and hide or look to God for direction?
