If we had to sum it up, we’re about forming a self-reliant life! Not so many years ago the Constitution of the United States was drafted. In it we find the line to “promote the General Welfare”. This quote is found in both the Preamble and Article 1 Section 8. We believe that the “General Welfare” of our nation is only as strong as our weakest citizen. And, the strength of our citizenry is found in their individual self-reliance.
The Tayloring Club is a seed for the development of a self reliant community. As with all communities, we aspire to focus on the principles we believe are needed to survive if we find ourselves in challenging times.
So, our site contains seven blogs revolving around the seven items in our life we believe in which we should be self-reliant. They are Faith, Family, Home, Nutrition, Aptitude, Sustenance, and Community. To consider these values we created the following pages.
Self Reliance in faith is remembering “Agency” is an eternal law; God can’t force us to heaven. He can only help us if we act individually to follow Him first.
Self Reliance in the family is playing to traditional family responsibilities. These responsibilities are ingrained in our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual composition.
Self Reliance in the home is learning service to those closest to us. Taking opportunities for self development from others who love and care for us is an unbeatable foundation.
Self Reliance in nutrition is currently a lost art. Knowing how food works in our bodies is the magic of good health and stamina when things get challenging.
Self Reliance is developing our abilities for the betterment of ourselves and others. Layering our efforts with those of others is the true mark of real wealth and security.
Self Reliance with our sustenance is building a stockpile of food against want. Food is a powerful renewable currency to those that have prepared and planed.
Self Reliance in our community is knowing that no man is an island. We are multiplied by our families and friends as we learn to support one another with their needs.
Our Motto: God gives us in abundance, let's tailor our understanding to receive.
